Still haven't been able to install Windows 10 from either CD or USB yet on the Mac Pro 5.1, as it keeps telling me that my secondary newly formatted SSD drive is not in GUID partition map, even though I just formatted it as one. Not impossible to get around, but an extreme hassle. You have the option of burning a CD on Windows 10, or biting the bullet and installing Windows 7 instead. Making it "supported" can be done via some LIST. USB booting with Windows 10 is not supported for some reason by Bootcamp. Windows 10 is unsupported for some reason by Bootcamp.
Sounds easy, it should be rather straightforward. What I wanted: A Mac Pro, running High Sierra, so that I could use my RX480 natively on it and do Final Cut Pro/Logic Pro X, and using Bootcamp so I could use Windows 10 for gaming. I can't really see any other way than selling it again and forgetting about making it work. After you do this, it will allow your flash drive to be bootable, or be read as a DVD in your Mac.I was very excited to get my Mac Pro a few days ago, and the prospects of having a Windows/Mac hybrid machine! Unfortunately, Apple is trying so hard to make this near impossible on a Mac Pro 5.1. Click "Continue", and select the first task only, "Create a Windows 7 or later version Install Disk". After that you can use Spotlight, Launchpad, or Utilities to find Bootcamp Assisstant. The link is: Click whichever ISO image you want to download and move it to the desktop of your laptop. Home Premium only has the very basic features, and Ultimate has everything, but includes a lot of unnecessary features which you probably won't use.
I would recommend Professional, since that has all the most useful features. Here is a link with Windows 7 Ultimate, Professional, Home Premium, in English, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and Korean, in 32 and 64 bit ISO images (Only download the 64 bit). Also if you are using Bootcamp 5.0, it will only work for 64-bit ISO images. If you already own a Windows 7 physical copy, it is legal to download an ISO image online, if you don't, well. Normally, you would buy it, but you can only get it online or from re-sellers since it is about two years old. First, you'll need to have a file of Windows 7.
